Chris asks…
I found a gaming computer setup that I would like to build, but I don’t know if there is anything extra I should consider or purchase with it. I am sorry for the lack of links, but Y!A won’t let me link yet.
The setup should cost around $600 if I have everything I need.
*Please note that I am a novice computer builder*
CPU – AMD CPU HDZ955FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz AM3 125W Retail
GPU – Sapphire Radeon HD5770 Vapor-X 1 GB DDR5 2DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card 100283VX-2L
Motherboard – ASUS M4A87TD EVO – AM3 – AMD 870 – DDR3 – USB3.0 SATA 6 Gb/s – ATX
Case – Something like the Cooler Master Elite Mid Tower Case, RC-310-BWN1-GP but if anyone has anything better feel free to tell me
I need advice on a power supply, and possibly a CPU fan and case fans in general. I don’t know if I need anything else or if there is anything important that I should consider or purchase.
(Yes I have RAM, a HDD and a DVD drive, just didnt figure they were important enough to list…)
All help and input is appreciated.
Thanks

I would get different motherboard, ASUS is not as great as it was. Even cheaper Biostar is more reliable and easier to config. I love Biostar AMD 870 boards, never had problems with those. Also for video card I believe you can get 6770 for the same price, or may be even 6790.
Case – Elite 310 is cool, but you need bottom mounted PSU, so check HAF 912, or Storm Scout, or HAF 922, those are the best, oh and CM 690 II too. Zalman Z9+ look great.
CPU cooler – Amazon.com has Corsair A50 for cheap.
Power supply – Antec is great, but may be expensive, try Raidmax 530W SS, it’s not bad.
Good luck
